Apostles Dr. Rafael & Loyda Osorio
Reverend Dr. Pedro Rafael Osorio is a native of Puerto Rico and is married to Loyda Pérez. They have two children; Idaelis, married to Lemuel González, and Rafael Luis, married Chaquira Ortiz. He also has four granddaughters, Kiana, Victoria, Sofia and Aria Jael.
Loyda serves also as an Apostle along with the Apostle Osorio. The family is committed to the Ministry and work as Pastoral Helpers, as well as in Music and Worship Ministry.
Academic & Ministerial data
Apostle Osorio graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy and Music Education at the University of Puerto Rico (Cum Laude). He served as a music Professor in the schools of Puerto Rico. He has a Master's Degree from The Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico in Divinities (Cum Laude). He also received his PhD in Ministry, specializing in Supervision of ministries from Andover Newton Theological School, Boston area, and Liberty University of Chicago (Magna Cum Laude).
He is an ordained Minister of the American Baptist Churches with 34 years in the Pastorate. He served as a Pastor in Puerto Rico in two Baptist churches (1977-1989). He has been the Senior Pastor of the Apostolic Renewal Church (formerly known as the Renewal Hispanic Baptist Church) from 1989 to present.
He is currently the President and founder of the International Apostolic Renewal Network (IARN) consisting of some 27 churches in South and Central America, the Caribbean and the United States of America. Many of these churches have been founded under his Ministry. He also oversees around 75 Ministers in different Nations.
Apostle Osorio has written four Christian books: As An Eagle I Will Be , Moving To a New Level, 8 Principles To Propel Your Project and his most recent one: Shalom - Flowing Into The Finances Of The Kingdom. He has a local Christian television program and among other cities in New England.
He is frequently invited to preach, teach and offer lectures to Church Leadership, Pastors, and to offer lectures that emphasize on Church growth and finances of the Kingdom.
He was the President - Coordinator of the Organization: New England Under Spiritual Revival in the Springfield, MA region; ministry seeking the unity of churches and pastoral body to cry out for a revival throughout New England (founding pastor Rev. Elisha Aponte).
He is Dean and Professor in the University for Leaders, Springfield, MA Campus; Theological - Pastoral program that enhances the ability of church leadership and the pastorate, in coordination with the Evangelical Seminary of Honduras and the supervision of Dr. Raúl Zaldívar.
PASTORS RAFAEL Y CHAQUIRA OSORIO
Pastor Rafael Osorio was born in Puerto Rico and is married with Chaquira Ortiz. They have one daughter: Aria Jael. The whole family is supporting the ministry and both come from ministerial families. Both Rafael and Chaquira were born in Puerto Rico, but were raised in Springfield, Massachusetts.
ACADEMIC & MINISTERIAL DATA
Graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Pastor Rafael also studied English Literature at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating in 2005, he opened the Renewal Academy Of Music School. In addition, he worked at MassMutual as a National Accounts Account Manager. In 2008, he began to work part time for the IAR Springfield, as a youth pastor. In 2010 he joins the full time staff, and begins to oversee the worship ministries. In 2012 he began to oversee the Communications department in IAR Springfield. In 2015, he accepts the call along with his wife of senior Pastors of IAR Springfield.
Pastor Chaquira holds a Sociology degree from Elms College in Chicopee, MA and worked in the Social work field for various years until the birth of her daughter. In addition, she has actively worked in the youth ministry, prayer ministry, and worship ministry since her early teen years. She also joins the call to full time ministry alongside Pastor Rafael.
Highlighted for presenting a message that is raw, real and relevant, and understanding the need to lead people to an encounter with the power of the Holy Spirit, they rise up in this season with a divine assignment from the Lord, and under the direction of their apostle, and father, Apostle Osorio.
